AMS1117 : The AMS1117 is a low dropout three-terminal regulator with a dropout of 1.4V at 1A output current. The AMS1117 series provides current limiting and thermal shutdown. Its circuit includes a trimmed band-gap reference to assure output voltage accuracy to be within 2% for 1.2V, 1.5V,1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, 5V and adjustable versions. Current limit is trimmed to ensure specified output current and controlled short-circuit current. On-chip thermal shutdown provides protection against any combination of overload and ambient temperature that would create excessive junction temperature. The AMS 1117 has an adjustable version that can provide the output voltage from 1.25V to 5V with only two external resis.

AMS1117 : The AMS1117 and LM1117-1.2/1.8/2.85/3.3 /5V are low dropout three-terminal regulators with 1A output current capability. These devices have been optimized for low voltage where transient response and minimum input voltage are critical. The 2.85V version is designed specifically to be used in Active Terminators for SCSI bus. On-chip thermal limiting provides protection against any combination of overload and ambient temperatures that would create excessive junction temperatures. Unlike PNP type regulators where up to 10% of the output current is wasted as quiescent current, the quiescent current of theAMS1117 flows into the load, increasing efficiency. AMS1117 : The AMS1117 is a positive low voltage dropout regulator; typical voltage dropout is only 1.2V at 1A. AMS1117 provides two versions: fixed and adjustable versions. VOUT has a tolerance of less than 1.5% for fixed versions 1.2V 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, 5.0V and adjustable version or 2% output accuracy for fixed version 1.2V. The AMS1117 offers some key features include thermal shutdown and current limiting. It is suitable for all electronic products.
