NEW PRODUCT APX803L MICRO POWER VOLTAGE DETECTOR Description The APX803L is brand new micro-power voltage detector series developed by Diodes Inc. with target to be used for microprocessor (µP) supervisory circuits to monitor the power supplies in µP and digital systems. It provides wide range of detection voltage level ranging from 1.2V to 5.0V with 0.1V per step options fixed internally from circuit design. As to supply current, APX803L series requires low supply current level of 1µA (typical) which gives no burden to power efficiency on systems requiring detection functions, such as smart phone, battery-powered devices, Internet equipments and so on. These circuits perform the supervisory function by sending out a reset signal whenever it founds the monitored VCC level falls below a chosen threshold voltage level and the reset signal will remain until VCC recovers to a level higher than threshold voltage. The APX803L has an open-drain output with an active-low output pin and features several delay time options (0ms, 55ms, 220ms and 450ms) for system need. The APX803L is available in two pin out variants of the 3-pin SOT23, SOT323, SC59 and SOT25 packages.
