The CX8508 is a monolithic s ynchronous buck regulator. The device i ntegrates 100mΩ MOSFETS that provide 2A continuous load current over a wide operating input voltage of 4. 75V to 25V . Current mode control provides fast tr ansient response and cycle-by-cycle cur rent limit. An adjustable soft-start pr events inrush current at turn-on. In sh utdown mode, the supply current drops b elow 1 μA. This device, available in a n 8-pin SOIC package, provides a very c ompact system solution with minimal rel iance on external components.
