T  echcode®       1.6A 150KHz PWM Buck DC/DC Converter DATASHEET TD1609 General Description  Features    TD1609  is  a  monolithic  asynchronous  buck  regulator.  The  device  provides  1.6A  of  continuous  load  current  over  a  wide  input  voltage  of  6V  to  40V.  It  uses  current  mode  control  to  regulator  the  output  voltage  and  provides  fast  transient  response.  The TD1609 is equipped with an automatic PFM/PWM mode  operation.  At  light  load,  the  IC  operate.

T  echcode®       1.6A 150KHz PWM Buck DC/DC Converter DATASHEET TD1609 General Description  Features    TD1609  is  a  monolithic  asynchronous  buck  regulator.  The  device  provides  1.6A  of  continuous  load  current  over  a  wide  input  voltage  of  6V  to  40V.  It  uses  current  mode  control  to  regulator  the  output  voltage  and  provides  fast  transient  response.  The TD1609 is equipped with an automatic PFM/PWM mode  operation.  At  light  load,  the  IC  operates  in  the  PFM  mode  to  reduce  the  switching  losses.  At  heavy  load,  the  IC  works  in  PWM mode.  Hiccup  mode  current  limit  and  thermal  shutdown  elements  for a full protection under fault conditions. Anti‐ring function  is to reduce the influence of EMI.  This  device,  available  in  a  SOP‐8  package,  provides  a  very  compact  system  solution  with  minimal  reliance  on  external  components.     Internal P‐Channel MOSFET   1.6A continuous output current     Up to 90% efficiency     Integrated Power Save Mode Operation to Improve  Light Load Efficiency   Input voltage range: 6V to 40V   Fixed 150kHz frequency internal oscillator   Hiccup mode current limit   Anti‐ringing for lower EMI   Over temperature protection   SOP‐8 package  Applications   Simple high‐efficiency step‐down regulator   Efficient pre‐regulator for linear regulators   On‐card switching regulators   Positive to negative converter  Battery charger Pin Configurations  Figure1 .
