An internal 5-bit DAC is used to program the reference voltage to within a range of 1.3 V to 3.5 V. The output voltage can be set to be equal to the reference voltage or to some multiple of the reference voltage. A hysteretic controller with user-selectable hysteresis and programmable droop compensation is used to dramatically reduce overshoot and undershoot caused by load transients.
