S-8367/8368 Series www.sii-ic.com © Seiko Instruments Inc., 2013-2014 STEP-UP 1.2 MHz PWM CONTROL CURRENT LIMIT SWITCHING REGULATOR CONTROLLER Rev.1.1_01 The S-8367/8368 Series is a CMOS step-up type switching regulator controller which consists of a reference voltage source, an oscillation circuit, an error amplifier, a phase compensation circuit, a current limit circuit, a short-circuit protection circuit, and a PWM control circuit etc. With an external low ON-resistance enhanced Nch power MOS FET, this product is ideal for applications requiring high efficiency and a high output current. In addition, the output current is limited by connecting the current detection resistance (RSENSE) to the VSENSE pin. The loss which occurs in RSENSE is reduced since the current detection voltage (VSENSE1) is set to 100 mV ± 10%. The S-8368 Series has a short-circuit protection circuit which can protect the circuit during output short-circuit status by using an external enhanced Nch power MOS ...
