PAH8011ES: Low Power Heart Rate Monitor Optical Chip
General Description
The PAH8011ES is a low power and high-performance
CMOS-process optical chip with integrated DSP, targeted
as a Heart Rate Detection (HRD) chip. It is based on optical
sensing technology that captures higher resolution image
than the traditional photodiode. The PAH8011ES could
support three external discrete LEDs, which are two
Green and one Infrared as illumination light source. The
images captured are then processed through the
integrated DSP to attain processed PPG
(Photoplethysmogram) data for use in deducing heart
rate.
