MBL 80186 MBL 80186-6 NMOS HIGH-INTEGRATION 16-BIT MICROPROCESSOR February 1986 Edition 1.0 The Fujitsu MBl 80186 is a highly integrated 16-bit microprocessor. The MBl 80186 effectively combines 15-20 of the most common MBl 8086 system components onto one. The MBl 80186 provides two times greater throughput than the standard 5MHz MBl 8086. The MBl 80186 is upward compatible with MBl 8086 and 88 software and adds 10 new instruction types to the existing set. It is housed in a 68-pad ceramic lCC (leadless Chip Carrier: JEDEC Type A) or 68-pin Ceramic PGA (Pin Grid Array) package.
