It is based on a uni que ‘cascode’ circuit configuration , in which a normally-on SiC JFET is co -packaged with a Si MOSFET to produce a normally-off SiC FET device. The devic e’s standard gate-drive characteristi cs allows for a true “drop-in replace ment” to Si IGBTs, Si FETs, SiC MOSFE Ts or Si superjunction devices.
