These devices perform the calculation for active power. The method of calculation takes the power factor into account. Energy consumption is determined by the power measurement being integrated over time. These innovative universal power/energy metering integrated circuits are ideally suited for energy calculations in applications such as electricity dispensing systems (ED's), residential municipal metering and factory energy metering and control.
