The SA9602M performs the calculation for active power. The method of calculation takes the power factor into account. Energy consumption can be determined by counting output pulses. The pulse rate for a particular application is selected according to the status of inputs MP0 and MP1. This innovative universal single phase power/energy metering integrated circuit is ideally suited for energy calculations in applications utilizing a mechanical display.
