This gives good stability wi th respect to temperature and supply vo ltage variation, and improves resistanc e to earth and power supply noise. The second stage uses Darlington pairs to i ncrease the input impedance and the gai n of the first stage. The output is an emitter follower which suppresses deter ioration of the linearity due to the in fluence of the equalizer terminal, and prevents drop in maximum output.
