The device includes a sensing element composed of a single driving mass, kept in continuous oscillation and capable of reacting, based on the Coriolis principle, when an angular rate is applied A CMOS IC provides the measured angular rate to the external world through an analog output voltage, allowing high levels of integration and production trimming to better match sensing element characteristics.
