Temperature, voltage, and charge time are monitored to provide proper fast-charging control algorithms for nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries. Battery tests are included to detect defective or inappropriate cells such as alkaline primary batteries. Temperature, voltage, and charge time are monitored to provide proper fast-charging control algorithms for nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries.
