Description
Triggered Spark Gaps EVERYTHING IN A NEW LIGHT. P erkinElmer’s Triggered Ceramic-Metal Spark Gaps are a family of versatile high voltage switches. They consist of three electrodes in a hermetically sealed, pressurized ceramic envelope. Triggered Spark Gaps are generally characterized by a peak current capability of thousands to tens of thousands of amperes, delay times of tens of nanoseconds, arc resistance of tens of milliohms and inductance of 5 to 30 nanohenries. They are suitable for capacitor switching applications such as flashlamps, electrically pumped gas lasers, medical lithotripters, and as crowbar protection devices. Features Fast switching operation High voltage holdoff Ceramic-metal construction No warm up period High current capability Long life Triggered Spark Gap Ratings O -A PerkinElmer Range, kV Model Min/Max No. (1,10) (2) GP-89 GP-90 GP-91 GP-93 GP-82B GP-31B GP-20B GP-46B GP-85 GP-86 GP-87 GP-70 GP-30B GP-22B GP-12B GP-14B GP-41B GP-32B GP-15B GP-74B GP-81B 0.7 1.3 4.4 8 0.4 2 3.5 8 2 6 10 12 2 6 10 12 12 20 25 40 40 (3) VT Min Trig (kV Open Circuit (5) C 10 C A,C A, C A,B 10 TR-148A 30 TR-180B 300 TR-180B Typical Delay Time* Trigger Mode Recommended * when operated in mode A (Nanoseconds) PerkinElmer Transformer At 70% SBV At 40% SBV (6, 7) TR-148A 100 1000 Simultaneous Ratings Simultaneous Ratings Crowbar Service, Repetitive Switching Typical Life: Typical Life: 5000-20,000 Shots 1-5 Million Shots (11) (11) SBV, kV (4) 2.1 3.4 10 20...
