The TA78M××SB series of fixed-voltage monolithic integrated circuit voltage
regulators is designed for a wide range of applications. These
regulators employ internal current-limiting, thermal-shutdown and safe-area compensation, making them essentially indestructible. One of these
regulators can drive up to 0.5 A of output current.
