CN3153
General Description:
The CN3153 is a complete constant-current /constant
voltage linear charger for single cell lithium
rechargeable battery. The device contains an on-chip
power MOSFET and eliminates the need for the
external current sense resistor and blocking diode.
Its low external component count makes CN3153
ideally suited for portable applications.
Thermal feedback regulates the charge current to
limit the die temperature during high power
operation or high ambient temperature. The
regulation voltage is internally fixed at 4.2V, it can
also be adjusted with an external resistor. The charge
current can be programmed externally with a single
resistor. When the input supply is removed, the
CN3153 automatically enters a low power sleep
mode, dropping the battery drain current to less than
3uA. Other features include under-voltage lockout,
automatic recharge and charging/termination
indicator.
The CN3153 is available in thermally enhanced
8-pin SOP/PP package.

Note: when an external resistor is used to adjust constant charge voltage, the voltage accuracy may
be affected due to the process variation and the temperature difference between the silicon and the
environment.
