8-BIT MICROCOMPUTER UNIT
The MC6805P6 Microcomputer Unit (MCU) is a member of the
M6805 Family of low-cost single-chip microcomputers. This 8-bit
microcomputer contains a CPU, on-chip CLOCK, ROM, RAM, 1/0, and
TIMER, It is designed for the user who needs an economical microcom-
puter with the proven capabilities of the M6800-based instruction set.
The following are some of the hardware and software highlights of the
I MC6805P6 MCU.

This device contains circuitry to protect the
inputs against damage due to high static
voltages or electric fields, however, it is ad-
vised that normal precautions be taken to
avoid application of any voltage higher than
maximum rated voltages to this high-
impedance circuit. For proper operation it is
recommended that Yin and Vout be con-
strained to the range VSS oS (Vin or Voutl
oS VCc. Reliability of operation is enhanced if
unused inputs are tied to an appropriate logic
voltage level (e.g., either VSS or VCCI.

drive Darlington bases or sink LED loads.
An approximate relationship between PD and T j (if PPORT is neglected) is:

Where K is a constant pertaining to the particular part. K can be determined from equation 3 by measuring PD (at equilibrium)
for a known T A. Using this value of K the values of PD and T j can be obtained by solving equations (1) and (2) iteratively for any
value of T A.
