1. 0 Introduction The AMIS-3 0522 is a micro-stepping stepper motor driver for bipolar stepper motors. The chip is connected through I/O pins and a SPI interface with an external microc ontroller. It has an on-chip voltage re gulator, reset-output and watchdog rese t, able to supply peripheral devices. A MIS-30522 contains a current-translatio n table and takes the next micro-step d epending on the clock signal on the “ NXT” input pin and the status of the “DIR” (=direction) register or inpu t pin.
