Like the ADXL203, it measures acceleration with a full-scale range of ±1.
7 g; however, the ADXL204 is tested and specified for 3.
3 V supply voltage, whereas the ADXL203 is tested and specified at 5 V.
Both parts function well over a wide 3 V to 6 V operating voltage range.
The ADXL204 can measure both dynamic acceleration (for example, vibration) and static acceleration (for example, gravity).
The typical noise floor is 170 μg/√Hz, allowing signals below 2 mg (0.
1° of inclination) to be resolved in tilt sensing applications using narrow bandwidths (<60 Hz).
The user selects the bandwidth of the accelerometer using Capacitor CX and Capacitor CY at the XOUT and YOUT pins.
