The MSL2041/2 drive four parallel strings of LEDs with fault detection and management of open circuit and short circuit LEDs.
The MSL2041 features four PWM inputs that allow independent frequency, dimming and phasing of each string.
The MSL2042 has a single PWM input for frequency and dimming control of all four strings, and automatically phase shifts the string drive signals.
An external current sense resistor for each string sets full-scale LED current and is adjustable for all strings equally with an internal 8-bit DAC.
