This transceiver will transfer the full range of 100VG-AnyLan Signals at the required 1x10–8 Bit Error Rate over distances up to 500 meters using 62.

They are driven by a custom silicon IC which converts differential PECL logic signals, ECL referenced (shifted) to a +5 Volt supply, into an analog LED drive current.
